What are the most common characteristic symptoms of Estrus?

There are four phases in the sexual cycle of the female cat: the pre-pupral period, the heat period, the inter-pupral period and the inactivity period.

The symptoms of the period before coming (from day 1 – 3) include:

– frequent urination, can be significant

– rubbing various objects and furniture in the house

– Mieunat, Cancer and characteristic bust.

– Roll on the floor (a cat in heat can behave as after the cat’s grass)

After about 3 days, the heat begin, which last about a week (long cats have a shorter heat than those with short hair). During this period, the female cat allows the male to mate. The coating of the female cat usually shortens the estate, but it happens that the female cat allows more consecutive approaches, also with other male cats. Female cats have ovulation caused, which means that the egg is released only during the act of copulation. This means that cats in a single chicken have different fathers. Copulation itself is very painful for the female cat, due to the papillae with hooks located on the male penis.

During the entire heat period, the female cat is restless, irritable and very excited. This condition is maintained 24 hours a day and causes appetite and physiological functions disorders.

It is important to remember that the duration of the summer, its symptoms and its effect on the cat’s behavior depend on each cat. Some cat women have no visible signs of east, but they are ready to mate. Therefore, a female cat should not be maintained with a male if it is not castrated, as this can end with an unexpected task, even among the brothers.

Cats can be sterilized from the age of 3-4 months. However, depending on the responsible veterinarian, it is advisable that the procedures are performed as soon as possible, especially before the first east.

In some cases, it happens that Estor becomes permanent and appears one after the other – it is not a normal, extremely tiring and consequences on cat health – hematic and cachexia. During the permanent heat, it is possible to perform a castration procedure, but it is much more difficult and only some veterinarians undertake it.

Estrum lasts from a week to 10 days, but this is an individual problem and in some cats this period can be extended up to a month. The period between two ovlations lasts, theoretically, 1 – 2 weeks, although there are cases in which another heat appears after only a few days.

Each period of heat increases the cat’s risk to develop reproductive system diseases, including various types of cancer and abscesses that endanger life.

Although the coupling is not very painful, it is incredibly tiring, not only for her, but also for her masters. For a few days of continuation, rubbing, rolling and crouched the cat from the ground to attract the male.

The best and permanent way is, of course, castration. Most veterinarians recommend before the first heat, so as not to get tired. There are, of course, drugs that stop the inspiration, but in the long term they are harmful and can contribute to the development of a dangerous inflammation of the uterus – Piometra and a series of other diseases that threaten the life of the cat, such as: – degenerative diseases:

– Hypertrophy of the mammary gland

– mammary gland tumors

– Tumors of reproductive organs

Some eastern suppressors also contribute to increasing appetite and body weight.

The extrum itself is very tiring for the female cat and a permanent flair is extremely stressful for the body.

If you don’t castrate your cat in a timely way before the East and it occurs, you can reduce the unpleasant symptoms a little. During this period, the cat should be stimulated as little as possible – without comfort, hugs. You shouldn’t put it on the back or rear parts.

It is important to guarantee peace and peace. You can calm the cat, slightly lowering the temperature and obscuring the room where the cat is located most often. Do not leave a cat in outdoor heat in any case. This is a safe task and a precarious return of the cat to the house.

In conclusion, the administration of inhibitors or tranquilizers is a rather harmful and temporary measure. The best solution is sterilization or castration, which is currently a minimally invasive procedure, after which the cat quickly returns to health. Recall that, unlike the common stereotype, the female cat does not «want maternity».

There are so many cats on the road that if you want to increase your feline family, do not torture your cat – adopt. After sterilization and castration, all the symptoms that are disturbing for the cat and the owner disappear.
