The requirement is that the fur is uniform, in an intense and distinctive color. Both the fur substrate and the external layer are of the same color.
Care of the Pomeranian breed
The Pomeranian is a demanding dog when it comes to fur care. It consists of two layers, with a large amount of soft substrate, even wool and long hair, rough and often. A daily comb is recommended with a metal comb with narrow teeth or a special brush. You have to reach the brush deeper in the fur, to reveal the hair next to the skin. To maintain the fur in good condition and to minimize hair loss, it is necessary to regularly cut the dog, or remove the dead hair. The bathrooms should take place about once a month and you have to comb the dog long before and after washing and then dry it. The Pomeranians are not suitable to be shaved or cut too much. The shampoo for Pomeranian should be for the volume and for easy combing. These procedures can contribute to skin conditions and also make the fur harder. After shaving, the hair grows like wool, it is difficult to take care and sometimes the dog only grows the hair in a very irregular way. For this reason, the current fashion for the Pomeranian whistle is quite dangerous. Pomeranian hair is not suitable for a cutting cut – once done, it will have to be continued, otherwise the hair will grow badly and the comb will be a torment for both sides.
The Pomeranian fur collects all the leaves, twigs and grass very easily during walks. After each shipment, you should clean it well and brush the dirt. At least twice a year, the Pomeranian is located, a period in which his hair can be found everywhere in large quantities. Dogs lose their hair more often and stronger, very often after heat or fetus. At this moment, you have to arm yourself with a good brush and with great patience. Due to the regular care of the beautiful Pomeranian fur, it will be maintained in good, dense and lucid conditions.

The Pomeranian is subject to different diseases, mainly of the skin and heart. Of genetically conditioned skin diseases, the main is Alopecia X, which causes sudden hair loss on the limbs, body and tail of the dog. The disease is a little studied and there is still no defined treatment plan. A symptom that can indicate the onset of the disease is the lack of change of fur from the puppy to the adult (which usually happens at the age of 4-5 months). Another skin disease that affects the Pomeranian is fragile and atopic dermatitis. A congenital defect of the heart that is often found in the Pomeranians is the persistence of the arterial canal, which causes the overload of the circulatory system and, consequently, hypoxia of the whole body.
Other diseases commonly encountered in Pomeranian are the disputes and dislocation of the pine trees, the crashed trachea, diabetes, cryptarchidia and hyperparathyroidism.
