Moscow Ratti – America and Polish – What does it look like and how is it?

Mop Muskrat is a friendly rodent who … even if sometimes people are confused, it must be respected. What does this mouse look like, where does it come from and how can you get along? Read the article and discover the answers to these questions.

Bizam or Moscow Rat – Origin

Bizam rats, water rat or American muscular rat is a relatively large rodent, originally from North America. Currently, its habitat is also Europe, including Poland. How is it possible that this rodent appeared in Europe? He contributed with the Collored-Mannsfeld count, which released Five Rats Mosquito in 1905 in a Czech village, on the field of fish watertight. Mice began to live in nature, to multiply and popular Europe gradually. In Germany, Austria, Hungary, Poland and Romania were widespread, among others. The second reason for the diffusion was represented by the escape from the farms. Water mice, like every living being, love freedom.

The Byzantii are faded, because they expanded their territory of almost 25 kilometers every year. When we talk about expansion, we refer to the creation of habitat. On the other hand, you have to know that the mouse Muskrat can travel almost 160 kilometers a day! During his journey, he is based on the support of the river current.

The raft in Poland

The muscular rat came from the Czech Republic and through its farms. This animal crossed the country’s border in 1924: it was helped on his journey near the Orlica river and then by Oder. In 1945, Moscow’s rat settled in Poland, but in the 80s the number of this rodent in our country decreased. It has been observed that these changes in the number of bite rats occur (about 10 years). It is very likely that the decline of the population of Polish rats contributed

– American Mink, a natural enemy of the bite rats
– parasites
– the diseases of rodents suffer

The musk mouse took almost 30 years to colonize Poland.

What does a muscular mouse have?

The musk mouse is a large rodent that looks slightly with a miniature beaver. It weighs, approximately, 0.7 – 1.8 kg (a big difference depending on where it is). The length of the body of adult individuals is: 27 – 35 cm. The Moscow rat is characterized by:

– Long tail: 20-28 cm
– front and hung front legs
– Long fingers of the rear legs, (the rear legs are strong and used for swimming)
– dense hydrofugical fur (only the tail and fingers are missing from fur)

What colors adorn the musk mouse? The fur of the musk rat is generally dark brown (back and head) and gray (belly).

Ract of water – Muscat?

Multed mice are aquatic and terrestrial animals. Their house is represented by the lairs, which carefully dig near the shore of a lake, a river or in shallow waters. Mosquito rats use plants to create their homes in shallow waters. The length of a den can reach up to 13 meters! The entrance to the underwater corridor is underwater, but the same murmured cave is on the ground, above the surface of the water. Moscow rats are made of soil and plants. The hut is quite high, its height above the water level can reach 1.5 meters.

Mosquito rats have a lot of energy, but their tip of activity is during the afternoon hours, until dawn.

Their favorite foods are aquatic plants. The musk rat will rarely reach crustaceans or molluscs. Occasionally, it will also be tempted by crops (especially corn), but remedy for this problem is trivial.

All we have to do is hold back our crops on the side of the water body and then put a sign of stop for mosquito rats.

How we mitigate the damage created by the rats of mosquitoes (and other animals)

The musk mouse is sometimes called a parasite. In fact, sometimes, this animal will launch people’s plans, but it is possible to establish a relationship with the muscular mouse and relate to it with respect. What does the «derived rat» do? Nothing – lives only, but can damage the fortifications of water bodies, digging in them. At the same time, there is a patent for this: to reduce the activity of the muscular rat, it is necessary to form luminous banks (rats as steep banks). Networks and stones will also be useful for protecting the shore from these animals. With the solutions indicated, in reality you will limit the damage and fix a limit to this animal.

Prevention of moss

The damage caused to agricultural crops by mosquito rats is negligible and appears only when there is a high density of rats in a food research area. It is very rare that a muscular mouse wanders in a garden where the mole or snail are more common visitors.

If we consider that Morsi Muscy represent an important peacock, we can use a special biodegradable spray based on extracts of natural plants. The spray effectively refuses parotitis, foxes, mice or crows.

Melci prevention

As for snails, we do not use poisons or chemicals: they are neither friendly with us nor nature. If you want to limit the snail infestation, opt for prevention: cleaning is very important: cut the grass regularly, clean the branches and plants that have been previously cut and can offer Hiders for snails. Digging the ground at the bottom with a excavation and extracting the eggs, which dry on the surface, is also a good way.

Some gardeners take a gardening bucket on a rainy day and collect snails, which then take to a safe place. We don’t panic if we see one or two snails in our garden. Recall that these animals also perform a useful function: they eliminate waste and participate in the process of creating the compost soil.
