Adult home coffee. Single tufts of hair on the mouth and legs are visible. Guinea Magra is two colors: white white

The thin breed of Cobai arouses interest in its appearance and certainly attracts attention. It stands out from the other species of guinea pigs not only for its unique physiognomy, but also by character. Before buying a thin, it is worth familiar with the secrets of this young race.

History of the public ministries of Guinea in the Magra breed

Hair without guinea pigs are the result of a genetic mutation. They appeared in US laboratory conditions, where they had to be raised and used for research. After many attempts, this idea has still been abandoned. The reason would have been the delicacy and greater sensitivity of these pigs, a friendly attitude towards people and precarious health, mainly of the immune system. It is a rather young guinea pig – present in Sweden since 2002 and only in 2004 has it been officially recognized as a bearer breed of Guinea. In Poland, the skinny guinea pigs were not available, until 2006 there was only a copy of this race across the country.

Physiognomy of the hairless cobes

Magre guinea pigs are part of the breed of hairless shells. However, they have small tufts of hair on the boot (mainly on the nose), legs and legs, rarely in the ears. There are many color variants of this breed.

These pigs do not differ significantly in size and weight from other guinea pigs.

Skinny Cobes Care

Hairy without hair are very sensitive. They have no fur: the main layer that protects from weather conditions, mechanical injuries and drying. Therefore, Skinny must have a more peaceful and safer place of life. It is not advisable to be clear or prominent elements in their environment. These pigs are very good when they keep hygiene, they must not be washed if not recommended by the vet, for example, therapeutic baths. In other cases, the bathrooms will only damage the animal. More dirty with which the animal does not manage itself can be eliminated with a damp cloth.

It is not advisable to lubricate the pigs with oils, oils or ethereal creams. The skin of the lean trousers has a natural layer that maintains correct tension and hydration – sebum.

However, you must be particularly attentive to temperature variations and harmful air currents for fragile animals. When you go for a walk with the pig, you should avoid its direct exposure to the sun. It is very important that the skin does not hurt or dry.

Skinny’s Health

Magri pigs live less than other domestic guinea pigs – between 6 and 8 years. Due to the lack of hair, they often cool each other and suffer from higher respiratory diseases, so it is important to guarantee a hot place, where it does not draw the current. These pigs are subject to diseases and heart defects.

An appropriate diet will strengthen the Cobes immune system. This is very important because Guinea pigs are unable to synthesize vitamin C and therefore must be administered by food. Vitamin C deficiency can cause, for example, oral ulcer, fragile teeth and low immunity. This breed also has predispositions to skin diseases: parasites or fungal and cuts. Their skin is extremely delicate, therefore to every stressful change, as well as other behaviors, such as the pronounced scratches, visit the veterinarian.

If we speak of human health, it is worth mentioning the allergy to animals without hair. Allergic reactions can occur in people and specimens of hair. The protein responsible for the allergy is in all the secretions of the body and then spreads in the hair, in sawdust, in hay, etc. In addition, hay, which is the daily food of the guinea pigs, is also a strong allergen, especially for people who react badly to dust and pollen. Before buying a lean Guinea, it is worth making sure that none of the inhabitants of the house has this type of allergy.

Guinea Magre – character

Magri pigs are very lively and energetic animals. He loves people and contact them. He often reacts to the names and the voice of the masters, responding cheerfully and even following him everywhere. The lovers and breeders of this breed nicknamed the dog, who says a lot about their character. The guinea pigs of this breed are rather talkative and intestinal for different intensity. Guita can also be a sign of fear and stress, so it’s nice to see your pet. Magre cocche love to play, so it is worth inventing new toys from time to time.

Like all guinea pigs, those in the breed without hair are flock animals. Therefore, it is good to have more than one copy, but preferably as the same sex, to avoid unwanted pregnancy. If you have one, frequent contact with people partially compensates for this solitude, but if the teacher is missing at home for a long time, the guinea pig may have been depressive.
