The chronic form is associated with a greater number of accompanying symptoms (diarrhea in the dog with mucus or traces of blood, quick weight, high temperature, apathy) and is a condition that endangers the health and life of the dog. Not only does it indicate a continuous process of illness, but can lead to the deterioration of the animal’s health, in particular – severe dehydration and loss of electrolytes. In the case of small dogs, older or weakened by other diseases, this condition can cause death. Chronic diarrhea in a dog always requires medical treatment. A well -founded reason to consult the vet is also an acute recurring diarrhea.
